Public service sector: Ver.di calls a warning strike
Against the backdrop of the ongoing wage negotiations in the public service sector, the trade union Ver.di has called for a 24-hour warning strike at Cologne Bonn Airport tomorrow. Ver.di has urged the employees to withdraw their labour from Tuesday, 10 April, 6 a.m. until Wednesday, 11 April, 6 a.m. At this point in time we cannot foresee the full impact the warning strike will have. However, we will have to reckon with substantial disruptions to flight operations. In cooperation with the airlines, the Airport will do its utmost to keep any inconvenience to the flight passengers to a minimum.
We would kindly ask all passangers to contact their airlines or tour operators to find out, if and to what extent, their flights are affected by the warning strike.
The Airport will also set up a telephone hotline - 02203-40 4000 for the passengers. This hotline will be manned today from 4 – 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 6 a.m. Latest information on arrivals and departures will also be available on the Airport’s website at www.koeln-bonn-airport.de.
Note to the editorial offices: The Airport will issue regular updates on the impact of the strike.
