Reach your destination healthy

Cologne-Bonn Airport is taking a number of protective measures to minimize the risk of contamination with the corona virus at the airport. Keep them in mind and help protect yourself and others.

Please inform yourself before your flight about the current regulations of your airline and the entry requirements of your travel destination (especially if you need a negative COVID-19 test, a proof that you are fully vaccinated, or a proof of recovery). Make sure you have all certificates in the required form and language.

Here you will find all the information from the City of Cologne on entering and returning from abroad.

The current coronavirus entry regulation can be found here: Federal Ministry of Health

The current corona protection regulation of North Rhine-Westphalia can be found here.

You can find information on whether your specific destination is in one of the international risk areas on the Robert Koch Institute website:
RKI - Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 - Information on the designation of international risk areas by the German Federal Foreign Office, BMG and BMI

Further information can be found by downloading the Safe Travel App by the German Federal Foreign Office (free of charge in Playstore and Applestore).

You are planning a trip to Turkey?

Please note: Before entering Turkey, you have to fill in an entry form which can be downloaded under the following link:

As the form must be filled in within 72 hours, we kindly ask you to do this at home and bring it with you to the airport.

Thus you can help to avoid waiting times at the airport.

To avoid waiting times, Eurowings is encouraging passengers to check in their luggage at Cologne Bonn airport the night before their flight.

The bag drop off is available from 6-8 pm the night before (service fee 5 €). Travelers using the evening check-in can park from 4 to 10 pm up to 2 hours for free.

It is recommended to check in online before using the late night check-in.

Corona Test Centre in Terminal 2

Travelers and visitors who are not passengers can be tested in the CENTOGENE test center in Terminal 2 (arrival level, public area). The test is chargeable.

The test center is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. In addition, the opening times will be extended depending on the flight schedule.

Various tests are available: A SARS-CoV-2-PCR test (results within 24 hours), a rapid antigen test and a PCR test (results within eight hours).

The "Premium 1" PCR test delivers the result within an hour.
The test costs 229 EUR and can be booked daily from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. As capacities are limited, it is strongly recommended to make an appointment

To avoid waiting times, you can also register in advance for the other tests on the CENTOGENE website. This is also possible at the airport via mobile phone or on the Centogene PCs.

Further information on registration and prices can be found here.

    We care about your health.
    Please help us.

We want you to arrive at your destination healthy and safe. That's why, together with our partners, including the airlines, the federal police and the responsible authorities, we have implemented various safety precautions.

Please follow these instructions and protect yourself, other passengers and employees of the airport. Please do not travel if you, a person in your household or a person you are travelling with shows symptoms of illness typical for the coronavirus (e.g. fever, cough).

For questions on specific protective measures on the aircraft, please contact your airline. The terminal services will also be happy to assist you further at the boarding pass checkpoint or the information desk.
