New managing director Torsten Schrank starts work at Cologne/Bonn Airport
Torsten Schrank started his new position as managing director of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH today. As CFO (Chief Financial Officer), the 44-year-old will be responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Infrastructure and Information Technology.
"I very much look forward to this new and exciting task. I want to contribute my experience to help lead the airport to a successful future together with my co-managing director Johan Vanneste and the entire team", says Torsten Schrank on his first day in the new position.
"As an experienced and competent manager with a strong commercial background, Torsten Schrank is an excellent addition to our airport. I also very much look forward to working with him", says Johan Vanneste, President at Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.
He has previously held various functions and management positions at Munich Airport for more than 20 years. In Munich he was responsible for group controlling and investment management, among other things, and was also instrumental in the successful implementation of a company-wide profit improvement programme. Torsten Schrank, originally from Cologne, was also involved in the planning and implementation of infrastructure measures, such as the new “satellite terminal”.
