New direct route to the Nile has been launched.
The airline expands its offerings from Cologne/Bonn to four destinations.
From the cathedral to the temples: Air Cairo has started its new connection from Cologne Bonn Airport to Luxor on Saturday, October 17. The airline will now connect the Rhineland with the historic city on the Nile once a week, every Saturday, thereby expanding its offerings to include another Egyptian destination.
“With the launch of the route to Luxor, Air Cairo’s Egypt offerings at Cologne Bonn Airport have grown to four direct destinations. This gives our passengers even more opportunities to discover Egypt—from Cairo to the Red Sea resorts to the impressive cultural treasures along the Nile,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.
With the temples of Karnak and Luxor, as well as the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, Luxor ranks among Egypt’s most significant historical and cultural sites. The city is also an important starting point for Nile cruises and round-trip tours. It’s also possible to combine a cultural trip with a beach vacation on the Red Sea: For example, travelers can fly to Luxor and then take an Air Cairo flight from Hurghada back to Cologne/Bonn.
Air Cairo’s service from Cologne/Bonn is the airline’s most extensive in Germany. In addition to Luxor, the route includes flights to Cairo, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam. Flights to Luxor can be booked via the Air Cairo website as well as through tour operators and travel agencies.
