New pick-up zone with clear signage at the terminal
A new transport provider at the airport: Cologne Bonn Airport and Uber are launching a partnership. Their shared aim is to make departures more convenient for guests and to further expand the range of transport options at the airport. A new pick-up zone for Uber-booked journeys has been set up on the departures level at the link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. This is clearly signposted and helps to streamline the flow of traffic. Journeys are booked via the Uber app.
“With this new partnership with Uber, we are expanding our offering to include a modern transport solution for our travellers, thereby providing greater flexibility for their onward journeys,” says Cenk Özöztürk, Managing Director of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “Our aim is to continuously improve the journey to and from the airport and to provide our guests with a comfortable travel experience. This, too, is part of our ‘Next Chapter’ programme, through which we are constantly developing the airport’s services, processes and infrastructure.”

More than ten million people passed through the airport in 2025. The partnership between the airport and Uber creates additional options for travellers, improves wayfinding and ensures clear signage. At the new pick-up zone at the link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, travellers can board their Uber rides – booked via the Uber app – even more easily than before. Drivers and passengers can meet up there with ease. The area is clearly marked and easily visible. Both the signage in and around the terminals and the route guidance in the Uber app help users find the zone quickly and easily.
