Cologne Bonn Airport will once again become a concert stage: on 14 September, the ‘OpenAirPort’ festival invites you to sway, raise your hands in the air, clap your hands and sing along at the top of your lungs at the airport for the 4th time. This year, the popular bands Aluis, Miljö, Klüngelköpp, Räuber and the Höhner will ensure a great atmosphere and Cologne joie de vivre. Presenter Martin Schopps will guide you through the varied programme. One day later, families can look forward to the Cologne band Pelemele (15.9.), who will enrich this year's ‘OpenAirPort’, organised by Sa Cova musik.theatre.unterhaltung, with their child-friendly rock music.
‘This year's festival scores with many Cologne bands in an extraordinary atmosphere,’ says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘A great atmosphere is virtually guaranteed with this line-up, which will provide the concert guests here at the airport with fun and a good mood.’
Roland Kulik, Managing Director of organiser Sa Cova, says: ‘We are delighted to be bringing the “OpenAirPort” festival to Cologne again this year and are proud to be able to present such a great selection of artists. Our visitors can look forward to an event full of energy, emotion and genuine Cologne joie de vivre."
As in the past three years, the concerts will take place on an open-air area specially prepared for the event between the airport hotel, multi-storey car park 2 and the airport railway station, which is easily accessible by public transport (including the S19 and RB27). The airport railway station is a 3-minute walk from the festival site.
