Flight operations in Cologne/Bonn running normally

Unauthorised persons illegally gained access to the grounds of Cologne/Bonn Airport at around 6 a.m. this morning and stuck themselves on a taxiway. The federal and state police as well as the airport fire brigade and security responded immediately. Flight operations were temporarily suspended for safety reasons. Flight operations were resumed at 7.25 am. The police operation ended shortly after 9am. 16 flights (8 departures, 8 landings) were cancelled. There were isolated delays.
