Fly to Podgorica in Montenegro with Wizz Air

New capital city connection at Cologne Bonn Airport.
Airline continues to expand Eastern European Network.

A Premiere at Cologne Bonn Airport: From Tuesday (June 2) onwards, Wizz Air is flying from Cologne/Bonn to Podgorica, thereby adding another new capital city connection to its Eastern European route network. The airline connects Cologne Bonn airport with the capital of Montenegro—a destination previously not on the flight schedule—four times a week. Flights operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

"With Podgorica, Wizz Air adds another attractive destination to its offerings from Cologne/Bonn and further strengthens its presence at our airport," says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. "This is the airline's sixth new connection to Eastern Europe. Driven by high demand from our travelers, these destinations serve as a valuable addition to the airport's flight schedule."

Podgorica serves as an ideal starting point for travels throughout Montenegro or into neighbouring Albania. In addition to the capital's historic Old Town and Mediterranean flair, the Adriatic coast, Lake Skadar, and the Bay of Kotor also attract numerous visitors.

Since returning to Cologne/Bonn last autumn, Wizz Air has continuously expanded its services at the airport. The capital cities of Bucharest, Skopje, Tirana, and Chișinău—as well as Tuzla in Bosnia—are already part of the airline's route network.

Wizz Air operates a modern Airbus A321neo aircraft on this route. The flight duration is approximately two and a half hours. Tickets can be booked via wizzair.com or through the Wizz Air app.
