More connections to popular holiday destinations: Freebird Airlines Europe is expanding its service from Cologne Bonn Airport with several new direct routes for the 2026 summer season. From 26 June the airline will fly to the Greek islands of Crete, Kos and Rhodes, as well as to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. Pristina in Kosovo will also be part of the airline’s summer schedule. In addition to Freebird Airlines Europe’s new routes, its sister company Freebird Airlines, will continue operating daily scheduled flights from Cologne/Bonn to Antalya in summer 2026. In total, the flight schedule will feature 19 weekly connections during the peak season. To support this expansion, an Airbus A320 from Freebird Airlines Europe will be stationed at the airport.

“Flights to popular holiday destinations around the Mediterranean are in high demand at our airport,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “We are therefore delighted about the stationing of an aircraft and the expansion of Freebird Airlines Europe's services, as well as the further strengthening of tourist routes to classic warm-weather destinations for our passengers.”

Freebird Airlines Europe‘s new schedule from Cologne/Bonn includes a total of twelve additional weekly connections to five new destinations. The first of these is the route to Kos, which will be operated three times a week from 26 June (Mondays, Fridays, Sundays). Rhodes (from 27 June) and Heraklion on Crete (from 28 June) are also included in the flight schedule three times a week: Rhodes will be served on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and Heraklion on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. The route to Fuerteventura starts on 27 June and will be operated every Saturday. With Pristina, Freebird Airlines is also adding a destination from 26 June that is particularly attractive for travellers visiting family and friends. The route will be offered twice a week – every Monday and Friday.

Freebird Airlines Europe will operate the new routes using the Airbus A320 based in Cologne/Bonn. The aircraft will initially remain at the base until mid-September – with the option of an extension. The flights are already bookable at www.freebirdairlines.com and through travel agencies.
