Exclusive bar for singles opens in the airport terminal during the Easter holidays. Cooperation with Eurowings, which introduces a dating option for air travel.
From Cologne/Bonn directly to cloud nine: ‘The Blind Date’ is a new and exclusive pop-up bar for singles at Cologne Bonn Airport. With the beginning of the Easter holidays and the approaching spring, the stylish location will become a hotspot for airline passengers who no longer want to travel alone and are willing to embark on a blind date. They can get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere before departure and get in the mood for their next adventure – maybe even for the love of their life.
The bar is being opened in cooperation with Eurowings, the market leader and largest carrier in Cologne/Bonn, which is not only expanding the range of services at the airport but also adding a romantic touch. In the future, the airline will enable the first blind dating experience on air travel with its new ‘Click & Connect’ function. Anyone who books the option and the so-called ‘Fliebs Seats’ with the airline can meet their date at ‘The Blind Gate’ at the airport. Thanks to two free drinks on the airport's account, the classic question of who will pay the first bill is no longer an issue.

The bar, which is currently being given the finishing touches and whose concept could be extended to other airlines, impresses with a modern design featuring stylish lounge areas, soft lighting and an inviting ambience. Subtle music and a carefully curated drinks menu create a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to strike up a conversation. Whether classic cocktails, exclusive wines or unusual signature drinks, the selection at The Blind Gate is an invitation to make initial contact in stylish surroundings. The range is complemented by small culinary highlights that vary with the season.
