20 airlines connect Cologne Bonn airport with 80 destinations.
Seasonal destinations and popular classics on the schedule.
Beach, snow, or sightseeing: Starting Sunday, October 25, the new winter flight schedule at Cologne Bonn Airport offers numerous options for an unforgettable vacation. Over the coming months, 20 airlines will serve 80 destinations in 30 countries. The widest selection of destinations is in Turkey and Spain, with ten destinations each, followed by the United Kingdom with nine destinations.
“Our new winter flight schedule shows just how diverse the travel options are from Cologne Bonn Airport. We are delighted that our airline partners are expanding their offerings with new destinations and additional connections. The mix of sunny vacation spots and popular winter and Christmas destinations is particularly appealing,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.
Luxor, Agadir, or Klagenfurt: Destinations for sun-seekers and snow enthusiasts
A completely new destination from Cologne/Bonn Airport is Luxor in Egypt. Air Cairo connects the Rhineland with the city on the Nile once a week. With its temples and the Valley of the Kings, Luxor is one of the country’s most significant cultural travel destinations. Air Cairo’s service from Cologne/Bonn is the airline’s most extensive in Germany. In addition to Luxor, the schedule includes flights to Cairo, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam.
Nesma Airlines is also expanding the Egypt offerings: The Egyptian airline now also flies to Hurghada twice a week during the winter, further enhancing the diverse travel options for sun-seekers.
Several other popular summer destinations will now also be accessible during the cold season: Eurowings will continue to fly to Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, in the coming months. The route will be served once a week. In addition, the airline will now also offer direct flights to Klagenfurt, Austria, during the winter. The route, which was previously only available in the summer schedule, will be included in the winter schedule and served twice a week. The capital of Carinthia is particularly appealing as a starting point for hiking or skiing vacations in the mountains.
Wizz Air now also offers flights to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, twice a week during the winter. Ryanair’s route to Agadir will also continue. The city on Morocco’s Atlantic coast is served twice a week and is an ideal destination — especially during the colder months — for travellers seeking mild temperatures, long sandy beaches, and a taste of Moroccan culture.
Ryanair is also adding Tirana to its route network. Up to five weekly flights take travellers to the Albanian capital, which attracts visitors with an exciting blend of tradition and modernity.
LEAV offers direct flights from Cologne/Bonn to Syria during the winter months. The flights to Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor are particularly appealing for family visits. Starting December 5, the route to the Syrian capital, Damascus, will also be added. It will operate once a week on Saturdays.
Christmas Shopping in London
The new winter flight schedule also offers a wide range of options for Christmas gift shopping or a city break. In addition to connections to many major cities and capitals served year-round by various airlines from Cologne Bonn airport, British Airways will operate flights to London Heathrow during the pre-Christmas season. The flights will operate five times a week from November 23 through December 28. This provides access to one of Europe’s most important international hubs during a particularly busy travel season.
In addition, the British airline Jet2.com is returning to Cologne/Bonn during the Advent season, flying up to four times a week to London-Gatwick and twice a week to Bristol starting November 26. These additional routes expand the options for travel to the United Kingdom through early January while also strengthening the seasonal offerings around the Christmas season. Also included in Jet2.com’s schedule: Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, and Manchester.
Popular classic routes remain a key part of the flight schedule
In addition to new and continuing routes, popular vacation destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Antalya, and other destinations around the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands remain an important part of the winter flight schedule.
More than 1,000 flights will depart for Istanbul during the winter season, and there will be more than 650 flights to the Canary Islands. Palma, with more than 600 flights, and Antalya, with more than 500 flights, are also well represented in the flight schedule.
Numerous connections to European hubs also ensure that travellers departing from Cologne/Bonn can take advantage of a broad network of connecting flights to destinations around the world.
The new winter flight schedule is valid from October 25, 2026, through March 28, 2027.
