Routes to Bastia, Porto, Klagenfurt and Erbil added.
Funchal will now also be served in summer.
Even more variety in the summer flight schedule: Eurowings is now flying to four new destinations from Cologne Bonn Airport – Bastia, Porto, Klagenfurt and Erbil. The airline has added these destinations to its route network just in time for the peak travel season. The new routes expand the range of options for travellers and further increase Eurowings' presence at the airport: the airline now has a total of 17 aircraft stationed in Cologne/Bonn.
Eurowings has been flying to Porto since last Thursday, to Klagenfurt since Friday and, as of today (Wednesday, 7 May), to Erbil. The route to Bastia in Corsica was added in April. The airline has also been continuing its service to Funchal on Madeira since April, which was previously only offered in the winter schedule.
‘The addition of these new routes to this summer schedule impressively demonstrates how strong and dynamic our close partnership with Eurowings continues to be,’ said Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘We are delighted that the expanded route network offers our passengers an even wider choice of attractive destinations – whether for summer holidays, family visits or city breaks.’
With the new connections, Eurowings serves a wide range of holiday wishes and travel occasions – often several times a week. The airline flies three times a week to the Portuguese port city of Porto, known for its historic centre and famous port wine – on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Funchal on the ‘flower island’ of Madeira, previously only available in the winter flight schedule, will be served twice a week, always on Thursdays and Sundays. Klagenfurt in Austria, located directly on Lake Wörthersee, is on the flight schedule on Mondays and Fridays. The Corsican port city of Bastia, a popular destination for sun-seekers and nature lovers, will be served on Saturdays. Erbil in northern Iraq – of particular importance to many travellers with family ties there – will now be served every Wednesday.
