Back at the airport: A pharmacy has reopened today, Tuesday 11 August, in Terminal 1 at Cologne Bonn Airport. Travellers, visitors and staff can once again benefit from on-site pharmaceutical services. The facility is also open to people from the local area. In addition to the standard range of products, the new pharmacy offers modern services such as a self-service vending and collection machine, which is available round the clock.
“We are delighted that, with the new pharmacy, we are bringing back an important service to the terminal,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “Our aim is to continuously develop the infrastructure for travellers and staff at our airport. The new pharmacy is a key component of this and further enhances travel comfort and the quality of the visitor experience at the airport.”
The pharmacy is open seven days a week from 9 am to 7 pm – including public holidays. The range of services is complemented by a 24-hour self-service collection and sales machine. Herbal remedies, medical products and drugstore items are available there. Prescription medicines can be pre-ordered via the “Meine Apotheke” app and the website www.flughafen-apo-cgn.de, or during opening hours, and can then be collected from the machine at any time following a brief consultation. The concept also includes health and preventative services such as blood pressure consultations.
“We have specifically tailored our pharmacy to the needs of travellers and airport staff,” say pharmacists Olja Rosengaft and Sepideh Mir Jafari, who run the pharmacy together. “With extended opening hours, digital services and additional health services, we aim to make our customers’ daily lives easier.”
