Nile Air now connects Cologne/Bonn to Cairo

New airline, new destination: Nile Air's first flight to Cairo took off from Cologne Bonn Airport this Sunday. The airline is the airport’s new partner and connects the Rhineland to the Egyptian capital twice a week with a direct flight.

"With its rich history, impressive buildings and diverse culture, Cairo is an attractive destination for our passengers," said Thilo Schmid, President and CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. "Egypt also attracts visitors in autumn and winter with its mild temperatures and lots of sunshine."

Cairo is the political, economic and cultural centre of Egypt and at the same time a melting pot of millennia-old past and living present. It is where ancient sights such as the pyramids of Giza meet lively bazaars and magnificent mosques, producing a unique mix of tradition and modernity.

Nile Air will also be flying from Cologne/Bonn to Cairo next Sunday, 22 October. With the start of the winter flight schedule on 29 October, the airline will then be flying twice a week: on Sundays and Thursdays (16:30 each day). Landing in Cairo is at 21:40 (local time) each day. The return flights from Egypt will also take place on Thursdays and Sundays in the winter flight schedule. A modern Airbus A320-200 with two-class configuration will be used. Flights are available for booking at www.nileair.com.
