SunExpress is now flying to Elazığ

New route to Eastern Anatolia.
Airline completes expansion from Cologne/Bonn.
Trabzon and Çukurova added to the schedule since the end of March.

New to the timetable: SunExpress is now also flying from Cologne Bonn Airport to Elazig, thereby completing the expansion of its route network to Turkey. The airline will henceforth fly to the city in Anatolia once a week, every Thursday. With Trabzon and Çukurova, SunExpress has already been offering two new direct routes from Cologne/Bonn since this summer’s timetable, which are particularly attractive for travellers visiting family and friends in Turkey. As part of the expansion of its route network, the airline has also increased its frequency to Antalya by adding a daily morning flight.

“With the new route to Elazığ, SunExpress is completing its extensive expansion of routes to Turkey – whilst at the same time offering our passengers another option for hassle-free family visits,” says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “We are delighted that the airline is further enhancing our Turkey offering with new routes and increased frequencies.”

With the switch to the summer timetable, SunExpress had already introduced 13 new weekly connections. These include the routes to Trabzon and Çukurova, which passengers have been able to use once a week since the end of March. From mid-May, the frequency on these routes will be increased to two flights a week. Flights to Trabzon operate on Mondays and, in future, also on Fridays; flights to Çukurova operate on Sundays and will soon also operate on Wednesdays.

SunExpress has also further increased its services to Antalya. Since the end of March, there has been an additional daily flight at 7.45 am to the popular Mediterranean resort. Another new addition is the return flight from Antalya to Cologne/Bonn at 4.40 pm. This allows travellers to make the most of their holiday time. In total, SunExpress flies to Antalya up to 49 times a week.

Frequency is also increasing on other routes: from 24 June, SunExpress will fly to Samsun twice a week instead of once, and from 25 June, to Kayseri three times a week instead of twice.
