Italian restaurant is the 17th new opening
Enjoy antipasti before departure or after arrival: the Autogrill Group, part of the Avolta Group, has opened a new Mediterranean restaurant in a prominent location at Cologne Bonn Airport. Travellers and other guests can now visit the new Terracotta, which covers more than 280 square metres in the public area of Terminal 1.
'The catering facilities perfectly complement the existing offering and further enhance the quality of the passenger experience at our airport,' says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘A culinary world tour can now begin right at the airport: our passengers can quickly choose between burgers, kebabs, sushi, simit, bowls or kumpir and, with the opening of Terracotta, also bistecca or salmone alongside pasta and pizza.’
Terracotta follows a Mediterranean casual dining concept and offers great views of the apron; it is centrally located between the Eurowings check-in and boarding pass control. The dishes combine Italian cuisine with local ingredients from all over the world – not as a copy of home, but as an invitation to share the Italian zest for life. The menu includes Bruschetta Classica, Insalata Bufala and Polpette alla Napolitana.
Terracotta is the 17th of a total of 18 catering outlets that Autogrill is setting up at the airport under the Avolta umbrella. Numerous new and innovative concepts have been implemented in recent months, expanding the airport's culinary offerings. These include popular brands such as Burger King®, Heberer Wiener Feinbäcker & Traditional Bakery, Le Crobag, Two Tigers, 51 Degrees Bar & Kitchen, Espresso House, Simit Sarayi, Brewgate in Terminal 2, Amore Bar & Restaurant, Brewgate in Terminal 1, Bistrot ‘grab and go’ as well as Nakha - Taste of Orient and the brewery ‘früh bis spät’.
