The trade union ver.di has called security staff at several German airports to strike on Thursday, March 14, according to a statement. Cologne/Bonn Airport is also affected. According to the union, security staff at passenger checkpoints are to stop working all day on Thursday.
  
 Due to the strike announcement, considerable disruptions to flight operations and flight cancellations are to be expected at Cologne/Bonn Airport. Passengers who have booked a flight to or from Cologne/Bonn for Thursday are asked to check the status of their flight with their airline or tour operator before traveling to the airport.
  
 A total of 136 regular passenger flights (69 take-offs, 67 landings) are scheduled for Thursday.
