Two weekly connections to the Egyptian capital from autumn
Here the name becomes the programme: Air Cairo connects Cologne Bonn Airport with Cairo. The airline is adding the route to the Egyptian capital to its flight schedule from autumn and will be flying there twice a week from Cologne/Bonn from 27 October. The connection will be offered on Thursdays and Sundays.
‘Egypt is an extremely popular destination for many passengers, especially in autumn and winter when it gets colder in Germany,’ says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘The new Air Cairo connection to Cairo is therefore an attractive option for travellers in our flight schedule, which we are very pleased about.’
The Egyptian capital and metropolis of millions is an important centre of the Arab world. Cairo has been inhabited since ancient times and today combines a rich history with new elements: In addition to an impressive old city centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are skyscrapers, modern hotels and a lively cultural scene. The world-famous pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx are also located not far from the metropolis of millions.
Air Cairo flights to Cairo depart from Cologne/Bonn on Thursdays and Sundays at 2.40 pm. Landing in the Egyptian capital takes just under four hours. Return flights to the Rhineland also take place every Thursday and Sunday. An Airbus A320 will be used. The flights can already be booked at www.aircairo.com. The airline also flies from Cologne/Bonn to two other destinations in Egypt, Hurghada and Marsa Alam, all year round.
