Another capital city connection from Cologne/Bonn: The airline FLYONE will be connecting Cologne Bonn Airport with Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, from the start of the summer flight schedule. The new direct flights will take place on Mondays and Fridays from 31 March.
‘We are very pleased to be able to expand our range of capital city connections with this route,’ says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘The flights to Yerevan are attractive for passengers who want to visit family and friends or discover the city and country.’
Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world, is not only the capital of Armenia, but also the political, economic and cultural centre of the country, which is located in the South Caucasus on the border between Europe and Asia. Sights include the impressive Ararat mountain panorama, the famous cascade with a magnificent view over the city and the ruins of the Erebuni fortress, which was built as early as 782 BC.
Flights to Yerevan, which are operated by FLYONE Armenia, depart from Cologne/Bonn on Mondays and Fridays at 8 pm. The return flights take place on the same days of the week. The flight takes just under five hours and is operated by an Airbus A320. Tickets for the new connection can already be booked on the airline's website at www.flyone.eu.
