With Freebird now to Bodrum

Freebird Airlines is now connecting Cologne/Bonn Airport with Bodrum in Turkey. The airline's first flight to the coastal city took off today, Saturday. The airline will be offering the route twice a week from Cologne/Bonn in the coming months, always on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

‘The new connection from Freebird Airlines to Bodrum is a very nice addition to our flight schedule,’ says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘The city is an attractive destination, especially for travellers who are drawn to the sun.’

With its Mediterranean climate and many beaches and bays, Bodrum is primarily a popular destination for beach holidays. The city on the Aegean coast also has a lot to offer culturally: It is home to the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Ancient World’, a historic castle and an old town worth seeing. With its many discos, clubs and bars, Bodrum also scores highly with night owls.

Freebird flies from Cologne/Bonn to the Turkish city every Wednesday and Saturday between 18 May and 14 September. According to current plans, the airline will then offer a weekly connection from the Rhineland to Bodrum until mid-October, always on Saturdays. The flight takes around three and a half hours. An Airbus A320 will be used. The flights can be booked at www.freebirdairlines.com. The airline also flies from Cologne/Bonn to the Turkish holiday resort of Antalya.
