The Supervisory Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH has decided in favour of Cenk Özöztürk as the new second Managing Director of the airport company. The 45-year-old currently heads the Aviation and Human Resources divisions at the airport and will take up his new position as Managing Director shortly. Together with Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board, Cenk Özöztürk will in future form the new Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.
Cenk Özöztürk has more than 20 years of experience in air traffic in various management positions. He has been working at Cologne Bonn Airport since 2013, where he is responsible for airport operations as Executive Vice President Aviation and Accountable Manager. He has continuously optimised airport processes and increased efficiency through numerous measures. In 2022, he was also given responsibility for the HR department, which he successfully reorganised to meet the requirements of today's labour market. Before joining the airport, he gained management experience at various aviation companies, including Air Berlin. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD Business School and holds an EMBA in General Management.

In his new position as the second Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Cologne Bonn Airport, Cenk Özöztürk will be responsible for Aviation, Ground Services, Human Resources, Real Estate, Technology and Information Technology. Cenk Özöztürk is married and has three children.
