Prof. Klaus-Dieter Scheurle was unanimously re-elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH today. The lawyer has headed the company's board since the beginning of 2021 and will now serve for another five years.

These strategic tasks are part of a future-oriented location development strategy aimed at consolidating the airport's key role as a central mobility and logistics hub for the entire region.’
Prof. Klaus-Dieter Scheurle (70) was Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS GmbH) from 2013 to 2020. He was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry (BDL), which he chaired from 2018 to 2020.
Before joining DFS, Prof. Scheurle worked for various authorities and companies, including federal and state ministries, the current Federal Network Agency and in a leading position in the banking sector. In 2009, he was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development by the then Federal Minister of Transport, Peter Ramsauer.
