New direct connection to the seaside resort in Italy.
Three flights per week from 1 June
A new summer destination in the flight schedule: Ryanair is launching flights to Rimini from Cologne Bonn Airport just in time for the peak travel season – the airline's only direct connection from a German airport to the popular holiday destination in Italy. From 1 June, Ryanair will connect Cologne/Bonn with the holiday resort on the Adriatic coast three times a week, adding another Mediterranean destination to its summer flight schedule. Flights will depart on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
‘We are delighted that Ryanair is launching a new direct connection from our airport this summer, enriching our flight schedule with the new route to Rimini,’ says Thilo Schmid, Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. ‘Rimini is a very popular holiday destination, and this route offers our passengers even more opportunities to fly to the sun and relax this summer.’
Marcel Pouchain Meyer, Country Manager & Head of Communications DACH at Ryanair, says: “We’re pleased to add Rimini to our Cologne/Bonn network, giving our customers even more choice and great value for their summer travel. As Germany’s most reliable and lowest fare airline, Ryanair is proud to offer the only direct connection from a German airport to this popular Adriatic destination, supporting regional tourism and delivering more affordable sunshine breaks for families and holidaymakers.
Rimini is a well-known seaside resort on the Italian Adriatic coast, with long sandy beaches, a lively promenade and a charming old town. Numerous cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours invite you to enjoy yourself, while the Emilia-Romagna region offers a wide range of excursion possibilities with its culture, history and cuisine. The city thus combines beach holidays and the Italian way of life in an ideal way.
Flights to Rimini depart on Mondays at 2.40 p.m., Thursdays at 7.05 p.m. and Saturdays at 5.45 a.m. Return flights to the Rhineland depart on the same days of the week. Boeing 737 aircraft are used for these flights, which take just under two hours. Bookings can be made at www.ryanair.com.
Rimini is the twelfth new destination in Cologne Bonn Airport's summer flight schedule. Other new additions to the programme include Bucharest, Belgrade, Trabzon and Podgorica. Further information on the summer flight schedule is available here.
