Off to the Turkish coast: Corendon Airlines is now connecting Cologne/Bonn Airport with Bodrum. The first flight took off from the airport punctually at 12:10 p.m. today, Monday 17 June. The airline is now flying to the city on the south-west coast of Turkey every Monday and Friday.
"Turkey is a very popular destination for holidays in the sun and on the beach for many of our passengers, especially in the summer months," says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. "With the flights to Bodrum, Corendon Airlines is now creating another attractive connection from Cologne/Bonn to a popular seaside resort."
Bodrum, located on the coast of the Aegean Sea, is not only characterised by good weather, beautiful beaches and turquoise blue sea, but can also look back on a rich history. The city is home to the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, as well as a historic castle, which is now a museum of underwater archaeology. Bodrum also boasts many restaurants, cafés and bars, which are also a popular destination for the vibrant nightlife.
Flights to the coastal town take off from Cologne/Bonn at 12:10 on Mondays and at 14:55 on Fridays. The flight lands in Bodrum after around three hours. Return flights to Cologne/Bonn from Turkey are also on Mondays and Fridays. Corendon Airlines operates the flights with a Boeing 737-800. The connection can be booked at www.corendonairlines.de. The airline also serves numerous other destinations in Turkey from Cologne/Bonn during the summer, including Antalya, Izmir and Ankara. Its sister company Corendon Europe connects the airport with Fuerteventura, Hurghada and Crete, for example.
