Zero G leaves the airport

The Airbus A300 Zero-G, which has been on display at the airport for around 10 years as an exhibition piece and a highlight of guided tours, is leaving CGN. The former training aircraft of the German Aerospace Centre is being dismantled by the Belgian company PartsCare; its individual parts will be used to make items such as furniture and decorative elements.

PartsCare specialises in the reuse and upcycling of decommissioned aircraft. In the past, PartsCare has, amongst other things, produced tables and pool houses from scrapped aircraft.
