Police & Customs
Colleagues from the federal police, state police and customs are on duty at the airport. They each have different areas of responsibility, contact options and working hours.
Responsibility:
- Border police entry and exit control
- Questions about passports, visas and passport replacement documents
- Air security, questions about air security checks/carry-on baggage and hand luggage/cargo checks
- Railway police tasks in the event of incidents on the railway/ticket offences
- First point of contact if state police cannot be contacted
Main customs office:
Terminal 1/Access 2/Level 0, open around the clock
Service counter:
Terminal 1/check-in, daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., at night according to flight schedule
Reimbursement of value added tax:
- Check in your baggage as usual. Tell us which piece of baggage contains the goods in question. This piece of baggage will be labelled with a baggage tag and you will be allowed to take it with you.
- Go to the customs counter with the baggage in question or to the main customs office from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Your personal documents, boarding pass, invoices, the completed refund form and the goods will be checked there.
- After the check, you will receive a customs stamp and you can leave the baggage there.
