Whether for a family visit, a business trip or for other reasons: the Cologne-based airline LEAV Aviation is launching a route to Aleppo in Syria. From 17 August, flights to the city will operate every Monday and Saturday from CGN. This is the first direct route between Cologne/Bonn and Aleppo.
Aleppo is one of Syria’s most significant cities and an important economic centre of the country. With its mosques, souks and monumental citadel, Aleppo is regarded as one of the oldest continuously inhabited urban settlements in the world and, like Mecca, for example, bears the title of ‘Capital of Islamic Culture’.
The flight time to Aleppo is around four hours, and the service is operated by an Airbus A320-200. Flights are already bookable on www.leav.com until the end of August, with further flights becoming available for booking shortly.
