From 1 December, the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES) will apply at Cologne Bonn Airport. It affects travellers from non-EU or non-Schengen countries with a short stay of up to 90 days. Instead of stamps in passports, travel data, a passport photo and fingerprints will be digitally recorded upon entry and exit.
