New prayer rooms are now available to Muslim travellers in Terminal 2. They are located in the departures area, directly opposite Gate D60, and are available to passengers round the clock.
The separate prayer rooms for women and men can accommodate up to 10 people.
The airport has also placed particular emphasis on ensuring the correct direction of prayer towards Mecca is indicated. This has been carefully calculated and is signposted in both rooms. A notice in German, English, Turkish and Arabic informs travellers that they can rely on the signposted direction of prayer.
