Pyramids, bazaars, nightlife, culture, great food and plenty of oriental flair: the Egyptian capital Cairo is an overwhelming travel destination.

In the impressive old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can let yourself drift, immerse yourself in the fascinating culture of ancient Egypt or enjoy the amenities of luxurious skyscrapers and hotels as a contrasting programme in more modern parts of the city. Egypt is also a great sunshine destination, especially in autumn and winter.

From 27 October, the Egyptian airline Air Cairo will be flying to the metropolis of millions on the legendary Nile twice a week from Cologne/Bonn. Flights will depart on Thursdays and Sundays. For those who are more interested in swimming, diving or water sports, the Cairo-based airline also offers connections to Hurghada and Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. An Airbus A320 is used for these flights.

The flights can be booked at www.aircairo.com.
