The summer holidays are just round the corner – and with them, the peak season at the airport. With a few simple tips, passengers can help ensure a relaxed start to their holiday. Here on the airport website, you’ll find plenty of advice and features, from security check time slots to the ‘Track my flight’ option for automatic status updates. The website can easily be installed as a web app on your smartphone’s home screen and is therefore always to hand.

Before your journey:

  • Book a time slot for security screening via CGN-Gateway
  • Pre-book a parking space, Plan your train journey or alternative travel arrangements
  • Allow plenty of time for your journey
  • Check that your ID and travel documents are complete and valid
  • Check in online or find out the check-in opening hours
  • Use the pre-departure check-in

On the day of travel/before security:

  • Mark your flight in the Arrivals & Departures – you’ll then receive regular status updates for that flight
  • If you click on the flight, there is an individual timetable for each flight
  • Use the self-check-in kiosks in Terminal 1
  • The less hand luggage you have, the quicker security will be 
  • Liquids in containers of up to 2 litres can remain in your hand luggage
  • Laptops and other electronic devices can remain in your hand luggage during security checks
