Two robot baristas from ‘MyAppCafé’ are now brewing fresh coffee specialities in Terminal 2.Orders can be placed via app or directly at one of the two robots. The selection of drinks in four cup sizes includes coffee and cocoa specialities as well as classic hot drinks and iced coffee. Payment is made cashless at the device or via the app.

The coffee robot prepares up to four drinks at the same time. It takes around two minutes to prepare a coffee. The ‘Robocup’ can make up to 120 drinks per hour. The highlight: cartridges with cocoa powder print a customised motif in the milk foam. This can be an aeroplane, one of 250 other motifs or - using an app - your own photo.

The robot barista is a novelty at the airport, the next machine of this type is in Karlsruhe. The drinks are served in disposable paper cups and cost between 3.49 and 5.99 euros, depending on the coffee and size. Extras such as soya milk or syrup in various flavours are also available for a fee. One machine is located in the public area of Terminal 2, the other in baggage reclaim.
